Pros

They pay well. Looks good on your resume. There are some very brilliant people here. There are snacks. The offices are nice.

Cons

I was sexually harassed by my direct manager (who later tried to have me written up for inappropriate conduct). I was repeatedly harassed by my next manager for years. He would belittle me and chastise me, call me out for doing something wrong even though I was the top seller. HR did nothing when I came to them, the head of the department said I "stressed him out" to hear about these problems.

Pros

Interesting work if you can find the right product team. Transferring between teams is easy.

Cons

Vindictive upper management in several clouds. Many rookie managers converted from engineers who don't have a clue how to manage and have no political pull, and just pass all the crap downhill. Don't confront anyone or prove them wrong because they will inevitably go into management and take it out on you. Unless you are on one of the lucky teams working on new technology, the only technical advances you can do will be under the radar, and as soon as it becomes widely used someone will take it over and take credit, and proceed to manage it to death. Research on internal tools is completely suspended, only bandaids on ancient, poorly designed, insanely inflexible infrastructure is allowed.

Pros

Benioff is a genius. Company is doing fantastic. The sales and marketing groups are top notch. Great stock price. Casual work environment, working from home benefits, in SF.

Cons

I know some departments are really good. I just had this misfortune of working in two of the worst managed departments in the organization. Poor poor management. Dysfunction, Politics, Dis-information, self-delusions. The claim of being scrum is a scam. Gossip and back stabbing rule the day. The worst place I have ever worked.
