I had the privilege of working with some very intelligent engineers. Many of my more experienced colleagues were more than willing to share their depth of knowledge with the rest of us.
Cons
Management is toxic and disrespectful: - stifles career growth by politicking and playing favorites - punishes engineers for using their vacation time - punishes engineers for any and all delays - shifts responsibility for their mistakes - allows multiple external managers to set contradictory priorities - does not push back against external managers Within the span of a year, most of the engineers I mentioned in the pros section got fed up with management and left for better opportunities. Management retaliated against those of us who privately suggested that this might be a sign of a problem that needed to be addressed.
