Pros

Work with highly talented people. Your skill set will improve and strengthen. Produce a product that will touch billions of people throughout the world. A great company to have on your resume.

Cons

Internal job opportunities are available, but rarely completed. From the time I started until the day I left, the company was completely different. The vision and direction was no longer there. Qualcomm is considered to be one of the most innovating and forward thinking companies in the world. Unfortunately, that opinion is slowly eroding.

Extremely political environment Promotions are only given to those in the inner click Unreasonable deadlines leading to a very stressful environment Very long work hours and no work life balance Incompetent middle management, as a result of the politicized promotions process Company losing competitive edge What company gives $95 millions to the CEO when it is losing market share and its stock is severely underperforming

You get to work on new technologies. San Diego is a great place to live.

Cons

- No work life balance at all. You are expected to work on weekends/late nights. - Too much office politics, reviews are biased based on personal relationships - Unstable since they are reliant on couple of customers for majority of revenue. - Falling stock, layoffs looming. - Poor benefits, upcoming health insurance with high deductibles.
