Pros

Long contract, hours, depends on what people you meet. some of them are nice. Job is hard and not for everyone.

Cons

Low wages, bad customers, extremelly rude, treat you like a second category person, a lot of fights in store. Not for everyone

Pros

overtime available equal opportunities employer our store had a good staff room with pool table, tv and good kitchen area always got your breaks to meet legal standards isn't 0hour so always promised the same hours each week some stores do offer night shifts paid holidays (i got around 13 days a year)

Cons

very understaffed have been cautioned on tattoos/piercings/hair colour and makeup despite having reminds how to treat its customers all the same for their appearance inappropriate uniform for the working conditions our air con had been broken for over a year and a half and i was asked to wear long sleeves to cover tattoos very pushy with overtime to meet standards if understaffed no discounts to staff apart from at christmas no double time etc my store was above mim wage as it was a city store but i know most aren't expected to train new staff (most companies this is supervisors or managements job)
