Pros

The staff and managers are really good to work with. If you have another job or school, management is flexible with your hours.

During holiday seasons it get pretty busy. Which requires a lot of folding of clothes such as shorts pants and sweats.

Pros

Great discount Decent training Free clothes and shoes occasionally Excellent co-workers

Cons

Management at my location was a complete disaster. We had a new manager every week from different stores around Canada and the US for months until they settled on one. Most of the supervisors and part-time staff worked like crazy and blew away sales targets, but received almost no credit from the new management. Nepotism was a huge issue with the manager as well. He gave fresh hires (friends and previous employees) most of the hours and slowly phased out hard workers who had been there long since he had even arrived. The manager also told very inappropriate jokes that bordered on harassment. I confronted him about them in a private meeting and he took away most of my hours, and made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome until I eventually quit. Many of us were asked to work overnight shifts for a week to repair the damage that the lack of management had caused during the store's grand opening. There were no added incentives for doing the overnight shifts, not even brownie points.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We were very pleased to open the Edmonton store in 2014. The sales of PUMA product exceeded the corporate expectations. Consequently there were some adjustments the company needed to make to meet the demands of the customers and the employees. We would like to thank all the staff for contributing to making this store such a success. Once again, we value your feedback and will make every effort to address the concerns stated. We wish you the best for your future career!
