Pros

most folks I met at Nike were ambitious, intelligent, and driven

Cons

despite a lot of lip service suggesting that individuals can make a difference and should look for new ways to improve processes and policies, it's actually frowned on to be over ambitious or to "create work for oneself."

Pros

great campus, cool work environment.

Cons

office culture is very political and can tire out the teams, if you come from a big city, Portland is a quite a change and never really got used to it. Also, per the work environment, weekends, nights, it's all about pleasing leadership, and proving your value to remain. Teams often don't collaborate as well, they often try and get their own 'wins' and it just creates a strange work environment to be a part of. And a culture where they are honesty afraid to fail, anything that wasn't amazing is likely never discussed, not certain how you become that much better if you can't discuss what didn't work.

Pros

Awesome sports culture, summer hours, beautiful campus. Nike is a company rich in history and cool stories and frankly some pretty cool people run the company. Athletes come visit campus regularly and Nike treats their employees to some pretty cool appearances during the summer. One of the most amazing campuses I have ever visited, and it's even expanding.

Cons

Need to network to get ahead. It's not what you know but who you know. By the time a job is posted, most times they already have someone in mind, so you must network in order to land a job. Awesome workout facilities, but we need to pay to use them.
