Pros

There are quite a few Pros depending on who you are: 1. We were already growing at 50 to 60% year on year and now it's going to step up a notch. If you enjoy a fast growth business then this is a great place 2. Really good pay and benefits (new Salesforce benefits are off the charts!) 3. Awesome culture of "real" people, no politics 4. Inspiring executive team, they really care about the people here and creating future opportunity for everyone 5. Super intelligent people - inspired to learn from others everyday 6. The next 12 months looks like there are going to be a tonne of opportunities now we're part of the Salesforce Ohana

Cons

Cons, not many, but worth noting: 1. It's hard to get a job here - If you're not the best at what you can do and properly invest in your application and preparing for your interviews you'll probably fail at getting a job here 2. They've introduced a new interviewing program that has meant they're hiring good people now but there are still a few people left who were hired under the old process that probably shouldn't be here 3. The growth - its crazy at times and feels like you're laying tracks in front of the train. It's hard work, but you know this when you sign up

Pros

Last week I attended MuleSoft's all company meeting in San Diego. I've been to a lot of company meetings and kickoffs in the past but this was unique. Even though MuleSoft is now a global company, they invest in bringing every employee together for this annual meeting and the CEO has been doing this for the past 9 years. These meetings at other companies are typically all rah rah and arm waving , but it was very different at this meetup. The leaders were open with the vision and strategy for the company and they were direct about what's working and where we need to focus and even improve. We also spent a lot of time working with our teams and cross-functionally to work through issues and get ourselves positioned for 2018. I came away feeling great about the company but for all the right reasons -- I understand what we need to do to succeed and see specifically what I need to do to make that happen. I'm in sales and came away with the knowledge and resources I need to get the job done. I also had a chance to meet hundreds of colleagues from other offices from around the globe and it's exciting to be surrounded by so many talented people who are equally excited about what we're building. Big things ahead for this company.

Cons

Keep up the open communication. It makes a huge difference when we all understand where we're going and what we need to do to get there.

Pros

After working at MuleSoft for over a year I believe I have a good perspective on the company and what makes it special. First, the culture is really fantastic from the top down. Management makes a point of hiring "good humans". Every day I come to the office I work with people who are both high in character and ambition. The best part is there are no egos, no drama, or blaming. Helpfulness and a get-it-done attitude is all around. But you are expected to move the dial and get stuff done at the highest level. If you are naturally inclined to be collaborative and proactive this is a great place to hang your hat. I think the reason for this culture is that the managers all the way up to the CEO highly value the art of listening. They understand that once someone doesn't feel their viewpoints or perspectives are valued, they will stop offering it. We have this motto about "radical candor" that seems to go up, down and sideways. In terms of work-life balance, I have been able to make it work for me. I have a seven year old boy and I am able to take him school every day, take him to piano lessons and be a good father. I do work in the evenings and in the mornings to fulfill a full days work, and then some. But to be honest I do so because I want to; my job is fun and infinitely interesting. I’m learning a ton and everyone around me are incredibly smart, so you want to up your game. The trajectory of the company is really exciting. At first I was really worried that the growing pains of I was witnessing were going to be an on-going issue. Some of the process when I first showed up were broken. But after some trial and error things are pretty smooth now. I am impressed how everyone here is willing to adapt and change as we grow.

Cons

We need to hire faster. It takes too long. Space was an issue but we recently expanded our SF office so things are much more comfortable. My perspective is within marketing and the IT side of the house.
