Pros

Just a job that pays - for a company that is going in a wrong direction under wrong leadership from ceo down to OU leaders. Sad that is a pros!

Cons

Unfortunately medtronic independent of the OU has many problems and in basic terms does not give a darn about you unless you are in the circle and all the advertisement about caring for you or top company to work for is a scam. Still employed here but puzzled how company deleted jobs mainly with elderly and people not in favor of management. Constant fire fighting and issues because people who make decisions are not competent in my oponion. If you are thinking of the job as a long term, save yourself and don't let the medtronic name and biggest company in the world fool you. If you want this as a step to your next career move it might work fine. Learnt it hard way unfortunately and don't want this to happen to anyone else. I am so shocked medtronic runs like this. They really try to picture that it is a great place but honestly it is not.

Pros

Just a big brand company

Cons

unethical HR practices and volatile decision making which changes almost every month or in some cases, every week. Managers are weak and cannot protect their own staff. I have no idea what most managers are doing or getting paid for as so many corporate staff do not even have basic experience for the job roles they are doing. Some are transferred into the roles although they do not even want it because they have no choice. Any change in decision based on whims and fancies can make or break one's career within a day. Things used to be so much more stable here but now so many offices are in complete chaos. At one point, mass hiring can be witnessed but that was bad decision making and now its mass firing once they know the report targets cannot be met or achieved. This company is unethical so you need to be like them in order to make career moves. They are losing most of their shareholders and partners if not only for their big brand name. I would also be wary of the positive reviews on glassdoor as it seems like HR has asked people to write those.
