      Pros

      The pay is capped but good if you can hit plan. The benefits are very good. If you get a good manager and are skilled at playing political games, then you have a chance to get in line for management opportunities.

      Cons

      If you attain a sales goal, expect that to increas20-30% even if the national market placehas only increase 5-10%. Very politicaly driven. Company is becoming more known for paying physicians for their business (just google it).

      One of the best reasons to work for Medtronic Cardiovascular is that most people here really live by the company mission to help patients by developing and commercializing the best medical devices. Another reason is the opportunity to work with and learn from a great group of people - highly intelligent, accomplished, motivated and fun.

      Cons

      Like any large corporation, there is bureaucracy and it make take a long time for the company to enact a decision.

      Challenging work, lots of opportunities to learn and grow within department and across company, good pay and benefits, onsite daycare and fitness center.

      Cons

      IT culture could be better, there could be more focus on employee development, we could care more about soft skills, teamwork, and people interaction.
