Pros

If you've got a good manager, the days go by fast. The quick pace and large volume of customers keep you moving. Also (depending on your manager) it doesn't take long to move up in the company. I started manager training after only three months. Also, as long as you give enough notice it's usually pretty easy to get time off for appointments and other obligations.

Cons

The pay is pretty awful until you make 1st assistant. Also, expect to do laundry every night unless you want your house to smell like old french fry oil. Managers will usually take the side of an obnoxious customer over yours, even when customers get verbally abusive. Also, expect customers to treat you like and uneducated git, no matter what your GPA is/was.

Pros

Free food, great learning experience, decent treatment of employees

Cons

Work can be dirty and clothes/hair smell, pay is not that great, not a long term career, not something to be too proud of.
