Pros

I was employed by them as a temporary employee as a receptionist so I wouldn't have gotten the job otherwise. My rep brought me a cupcake once. Can advance some skills via their site.

Cons

They take 33% of your pay or in my case $6 PER HOUR out of my position. I was not told this is how it works. I was told the company pays a "finders fee," for them finding me, but really 2 corporations are just profiting off the back of the smaller already less paid worker which is really unjust. I was also told when I agreed to take this position driving over an hour EACH WAY from my home that there would be room for advancement and there was none. Total waste of my time. No wonder they struggled to get anyone to keep this job for years. One mismanaged company sending employees to work for another mismanaged company. Overall my associate/point person within this company was nice, but the one time I checked in with her just for clarity I IMMEDIATELY got a call from my general manager asking if everything was ok. If you tell me we are talking confidentially about me seeking job advice, and then this happens because you clearly called her the minute I hung up all trust is lost. Worst part of all is I obviously knew this job was temp, but it was supposed to be temp to hire, and I was told if they did decide to let me go before the end of contract I would be given a week or two notice. I was supposed to get a call from Manpower at 4 on a Friday to let me know the job had been eliminated AND THEY NEVER CALLED. I walk out of work at 5 to get approached by security asking for my keys who had known all day that I was going to lose my job. Then had to go back in to pack up my desk, then got told wait I still have a job, oh no just kidding give us your keys costing me another unpaid hour of my life for their ineptitude. That is embarrassing and dehumanizing! My own manager didn't even tell me to my face. Then when I called to ask Manpower what was going on I got a "yeah sorry I was busy," that didn't sound sincere at all. This company profited over $2,400 off of me in 2 months and I can't even get a courtesy call to let me know I'm losing my job with no notice?! Definitely will not be using them again, and I will look elsewhere if I chose to ever use a temp agency again.
