Gave me a chance!

Pros

I was seeked out and recruited because of my sales background. I appreciated the chance with an opportunity to at least be considered and then even having the opportunity to interview since it would be a complete career change from what I was working before. They have some many tools, resources and training available to set you up for success, as long as you are determined and motivated to do so.

Cons

With all the tools, resources and training it can be a little overwhelming and intimidating at 1st, but I can't even say that is a con because they have been very understanding of the learning curve with multiple support partners offering and being their to help with support when you need it.

Pros

Opportunity to earn commission, as long as you're happy to have zero work life balance and be micromanaged.

Cons

Newcastle office ran by aunties / nieces / friends / partners who all have a bullying attitude. Fake promises of the role being flexible / work from home at times but you never do and it's not flexible at all. Expected to stay late past your shift but hauled into an office if you're a minute late in the morning.

Not worth it

Pros

The hours aren't bad 7:30-4:15. The work is pretty easy and nothing too crazy, many days where there isn't much to do. The people are I work with are pretty great.

Cons

I got moved to a "higher paying" position but was denied the raise. There is almost no communication or understanding from the higher ups. They assume things and then blame us for the things they did wrong. When I was applying, I asked if there was room for advancement in which they said yes, that was a lie. Our client is Estee Lauder. If you try to talk to someone from Manpower about moving from them to Estee, they'll do little to nothing about it. Manpower gets paid for every head that works for them in the warehouse, they want NO ONE leaving them. Sure they may give you a better position with higher pay, if you fight/nag them enough times, but you still don't get benefits at all. There's NO benefits. The health insurance is the lowest of the low. They only give you 10 points for the year. Meaning no PTO, sick day, personal holidays, NOTHING. It is a temp job, so it's hard to expect much of them anyways. I just wish they wouldn't lie up front about advancement and raises. 0/10 would not recommend.
