Good place to work if your willing to work really really hard and know what your doing

Pros

First being hard working is important manpower may place you somewhere and if you dont work hard you will get the boot but if you work really hard you will get hired in that simple. The more you know how manpower works the better and sometimes just being willing to hold out for the right job is the best option instead of just getting placed somewhere. Although sometimes they like you to work somewhere as a temp to see if you ready to go to one of there more prestigeious jobs.

Cons

Taking days off being sick all are strikes usually you only get so many. This is if your industrial. Office is much more lienant manpower.

VERY small paycheck Couldn't manage the people filling the orders you brought in Too much expected too soon Company completely did away with all Business Development people the month of Christmas. The down-turn in the economy was the excuse they used but that's irresponsible. Companies who are committed to their employees will try to reallocate their talent before sending them to the unemployment office. Yes Manpower is a temporary staffing company but they should treat their full-time employees with a little more committment to do the right thing. I don't think they would have made such a drastic decision to decrease headcount if all the jobs had been in their community of Milwaukee - that would have cause a backlash from other companies that use them for seasonal staffing. Imagine the headlines during peak holiday hiring.....Manpower lays off 250 employees just weeks before Christams....
