Pros

Almost everyone was kind, inviting, and helpful which made working there a joy. Being able to find the right product for the costumer brought a smile to my face everyday.

Cons

Finding products on the overhead shelving was difficult if not impossible so sometimes finding stock for a customer (when not down stocked) was really hard to do in a timely/efficient fashion.

Pros

- By working in such a large store you learn A LOT about home improvement. - Health Benefits for part time - Relatively flexible within departments for getting time covered.

Cons

- You are one of many. Because its such a big name/big box store its hard to feel a part of a team. - Hard to move up because of folks that have been there for a long time. - High turn over rate in the lower positions because there is a low turn over rate in management positions.

Pros

Lowe's provides an excellent atmosphere that is fun, safe, and comfortable to work in. I was worried about not knowing where things were when a customer asked, but you can always look to a fellow employee to give you a hand....with anything! If you've never used powered equipment, that will change.

Cons

If you aren't full time, hours will get cut around Summer time. Having a heavy work-load and having to cover 1 or 2 other departments. When you put on the vest, the customer will assume that you know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING in the store while others will expect you to be in 2 places at once. It may seem tedious at times, but no matter how busy you are, you have to make it a habit to stop and ask EVERY customer (with a smile) if they could use your help for anything.
