      Remote position is excellent but requires lots of travel.

      Cons

      Dealing with overseas management and lack of execution/delivery of equipment and no product roadmap is extremely difficult.

      Pros

      - Working with an international team. - Work directly with the equipment you design. - Coworkers are generally friendly people. - Workload is fair. At the Design Engineer level, you never have to take your work home with you.

      Cons

      - No opportunities for growth or advancement. I have seen two promotions in the 3 years I have been there across all of engineering and that was due to higher positions becoming vacant. - Bad management, structured training is almost non-existant. Work expectations and priorities seem to vary daily. Feedback is rarely consistent.
