Pros

Flexible hours. Good starting pay. They have a very good structure with training and education in optics as well as sales and customer service. They highly value the importance of continuing education. They have great benefits including tuition reimbursement. Always a step ahead in the optic business.

Cons

Pay could be a little better. They promote annually but the raise isn't that great. During slow months, they cut hours.

the gift of sight program that provides glasses and eye exams to those in need globaly and locally

Cons

the company pays very little, and well below the industry standard. there are many things that the company does wrong that impacts sales in a negative way, but blames the employees for lagging sales company wide. the benefits are lousy, and you are only as good as your todays sales numbers.

Pros

Being one that needs to wear glasses, this is a great place to work. Getting a free pair of glasses every year is definitely a perk.

Cons

I find a certain 'out of touch' aspect from regional management and up. Too many decisions are made from behind a desk or a playbook and not from reality. Retail hours do not agree with people who have a family. If you can get into a store with management who runs things well, this can be less of an issue.
