Pros

The sheer amount of technical knowledge among the engineers in this company is astounding. It is a very rewarding place to work as an engineer. The goal of the company is Good. I feel like I am contributing to society in a positive way. The company cares deeply about its employees. Paid leave, internal reviews, career growth, diversity and inclusivity are all major concerns for management.

Cons

Salary is not extremely competitive (but also not particularly low) There are some internal international politics. It can be hard to get some things done if you're not in the UK/European space.

Pros

Working at Kraken offers an exceptional experience with its innovative projects, collaborative and supportive environment, and strong focus on professional growth. Employees enjoy a healthy work-life balance, flexible working options, and a diverse, inclusive culture. The leadership is approachable and transparent, fostering a motivating atmosphere where hard work is recognized and rewarded. The sense of community is strong, with regular team-building activities and social events that enhance relationships and a sense of belonging, all contributing to a workplace that prioritizes employee well-being and development.

Cons

While Kraken provides many benefits, there are some challenges. The fast-paced environment can be demanding, leading to high pressure. Communication across different teams can sometimes be lacking, making collaboration more difficult. The complexity of the projects can be overwhelming. Despite the strong sense of community, remote work can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation, and efforts to foster social interactions could be improved.
