      Pros

      - Smart + kind + humble + hungry team - company is too lean for slacking off / carrying folks - Interesting problem space - meta !== OTA, and travel is complex - makes for *spicy* problems - Company values are strongly held - I truly feel the cross team support, shared values, and collaborative good will - Interesting competitors - it's not exactly David vs Goliath when your parent company is BHI, but it's certainly a challenge to compete with Google

      Cons

      - Organizational politics aren't completely unavoidable - In office policies aren't for everyone - 20 days work from almost anywhere isn't as high as I'd like

      Collaborative culture with supportive, knowledgeable coworkers always ready to assist. Excellent office amenities including fully-stocked kitchen, fitness room, and recreational areas (foosball, ping pong). Well-defined career development path with clear growth opportunities and learning resources. Great work-life balance with flexible hours and hybrid work options. Also there's yoga lessons two times per week.

      Cons

      Team reorganizations are not uncommon so it can be expected to change a desk or team from time to time. It can be challenging at first to navigate a complex, large-scale codebase and it requires significant ramp-up time for new developers
