JPMorgan Chase was Ok.

Pros

Their benefits were generous and the pay good. And it is clear that Jamie Dimon is doing a good job at the top.

Cons

The company is very decentralized/distributed. Which, on one hand is not a bad thing, can contribute to ineffiiciencies due to duplication of functions/roles. The decentralization also contributes to problems in maintaining JPMC's core competence.

Pros

Chase is an interesting place to work because you can collaborate with all levels of employees in locations all over the US (or even globally).

Cons

Despite the fabulous press, there is much cost cutting (and job cutting) going on. Employees have to bring their own toilet paper, paper towels, water and coffee in certain locations. Some employees describe their work teams as "the island of lost toys" because of the mixed results of mergers and downsizings. Promotions are simply out of concept.
