Pros

Able to work from home, that’s it.

Cons

This company is the definition of corporate greed. What used to be a great place to work and a place that offered the best of the best to customers has made a complete 180 due to corporate trying to line their own pockets as much as possible. Over the pandemic this company took advantage of going to remote sales and in turn created a “churn and burn” culture that created chaos and distrust among customers and staff. They have also encouraged sales people to use unethical ways to push services and then once customers started taking legal action they decided to fire or lay off most of the staff to be able to afford all of the law suits. In turn they are constantly understaffed and customers can’t even get treated since they fired all of the nurses. They used these lawsuits as a reason to harass and micromanage all of their staff, not just the ones doing things unethically. If you decide to work here expect to be watched via your webcam without your knowledge, called by random HR and legal people from outside companies and interrogated late into the night and on your days off, and to be lied to by management and corporate on a daily basis. I’m not sure who is in charge of all of these decisions but they are quickly running this company into the ground. Morale is horrific and there has been mass turnover in the past year unlike anything I have ever seen in a company. Unless you are the one or two people who have been the favorites who are allowed to continue unethical sales practices you are never going to have the opportunity to make commission and you will be pushed out and told that you just aren’t good enough by management. I wish I could name every issue here to give you an idea of how corrupt this company has become. At the end of the day these issues have been going on for YEARS and despite management promising that things will get better they have just continued to go downhill. Corporate is either not listening to their staff that have been begging for change and to be treated like human beings or they simply don’t care about their customers and employees. With their negligence and greed I can’t imagine that Ideal Image will be around much longer. Ideal Image Canada has already gone bankrupt and I imagine Ideal Image US will follow suit eventually. This company is not worth the extreme anxiety of being watched and interrogated at all times, guilt of selling to customers who will probably never even get what they paid for, bullying by management, and being gaslit by corrupt higher ups just to make barely minimum wage. There are way better aesthetic companies out there who are actually relevant and have way better company culture. While no workplace is perfect almost anywhere is so much better than Ideal Image.

Pros

Work from home. Great team members

Cons

The company is all talk. Lots of run around, management speak, many company wide emails that don’t speak to the team that actually keeps the lights on: sales. The sales management team have very little management experience and very poor leadership skills. Being a great sales consultant does not make a great manager but Ideal promotes these people that have no clue what they doing when it comes to understanding the unique needs of their team and supporting their driving needs in the workplace. Believe it or not, not everyone “loves money” some people actually want a sense of pride, satisfaction and service from their work. Poor performance is not met with skilled guidance, it’s met with a “just do better or you’ll be terminated”. Not remotely motivating, supportive or conducive of strong leadership. From the inside Ideal does not walk it’s talk. It does not demonstrate care for the sales team at all, is does not demonstrate care for clients or staff. It absolutely does not care about diversity or the staff and clients of color. It’s a shell game at the expense of clients drawn in by fuzzy math discounts on highly overinflated base pricing, sold by many AC’s whose needs and concerns are being ignored. you are easily replaceable with another ‘deer in the headlights’. Which is sad because so many of the people that work in sales at Ideal truly DO care about the clients and each other. Those at the top take advantage of this empathy. Also those in sales generally need the work, they don’t have a spouse who can cover all the bills while they leisurely look for something else. The executive teams knows this too, changing shifts without warning, not taking individual staff situations into concern. They simply don’t care. The response is “if you don’t like it, ask yourself if this is the place for you”

Pros

Work from home. Good hours.

Cons

Aside from what everyone else has said in these reviews let's add how poorly the company is distributing their money. The marketing sucks. We are attracting the poor, the ghetto, the unemployed, those on Disability. They are draining our time that could be used to sell to capable customer, those who understand they are not going to get LHR for only $59 or full body for $1000. The company loses money by having to hire more people to handle all these bogus calls. This does not make sense. How about restructuring the LRC team and making them actually screen the leads! We would do so much better if we had real quality leads than having them send over every and ANYbody just to make their $10. Oh and what's up with having a budget to pay the QA team whose only job is to babysit and constantly write, "We have guests waiting!" Yea. Of course we do. You do not need to tell us. We are NOT going to rush off a call just to answer another. How about putting those funds towards a department that is of actual beneficial use? I know. How about the Outbound team again so we aren't stuck having to make these ridiculous no buy calls to people who have already said no or double declined?
