Pros
I have been working with ION for quite some time. I have seen good as well as tumultuous times and can confidently say that working with ION so far has been a very gratifying experience for me. I have seen ION grow (as an organization as well as it culture) from a molecular level into a full fledged organism. Needless to say, there is always scope for improvement, but fin qui tutto bene :) ION is a mix of good as well as bad. If you join ION, you will get to meet people who are very helpful and understanding, you will get to meet people who are arrogant and condescending, and you will also get to meet people whom you will learn to like. This does not indicate a bad working culture – this just shows that within ION, just like any other organization in the world, you will find all kind of people. ION has a dynamic culture. Processes and situations can change frequently – meaning that you are expected to be on the top of your game all the time. Adaptation and improvisation are taught, and eventually become your second nature if you are good in what you do. These qualities help quite a lot – the fact that a good amount of our clients are former ION employees is proof enough. I cant comment about other ION offices, but salaries in ION Noida office are at par with industry standards. The increments and bonuses have gone down a bit in the recent years but this is to be expected as the company is growing and has nearly quadrupled its workforce. Having said that, the average increment is still higher than the industry. Of course the company can do more when it comes to salary, my point here is that what the company is doing currently is also good. ION has a culture of hard-work and incompetence is not tolerated. ION provides a proper training base with an aim to make its employees self-sufficient and independent in the shortest amount of time. This requires a real commitment. ION understands that everyone has different learning capabilities, therefore ION provides periodic feedback to its employees to ensure that the learning curve always point North.
Cons
On the flip side, I am still waiting for a good coffee machine. ION Noida needs to understand that its employees need daily periodic caffeine fixes, ergo ipso facto we need a good coffee machine.
