      Pros

      Great benefits and respect from supervisors makes the employment opportunity worthwhile. On numerous projects I have worked on, the group setting has really contributed to the open and free exchange of ideas across talent and skill sets and has resulted in superior outcomes for both ourselves and the company. The organization encourages team cooperation as well as personal accomplishment and should be commended for doing so. However, they are also careful to measure the contributions of each individual and are open and thoughtful in terms of talent evaluation.

      Cons

      Long hours and occasional snotty coworkers/disrespect from upper level management. Assignments can be tedious at times.

      A great place to learn as an intern

      Pros

      Great Exposure to technology, especially for an intern. Also the process capabilities are very diverse, so if you do get tired with the job you are working on, there is always the opportunity to move to a drastically different job, but still work under the same roof. A very sizable portion of the current workforce is eligible for retirement, so the future opportunity for promotions and lateral movement is great.

      Cons

      Due to the security concern of some of the work, there are always concerns of what you can and can not talk about. Also, as a defense contractor, working for the government, there is a considerable amount of "red tape," which at times can seem to be cumbersome. Lastly, the pace of work is fairly slow, which can bother some individuals.

      Great for balance, absurd for everything else

      Pros

      They are great about making sure that there is a balance between work and personal time. They were constantly arranging bowling parties, movie nights, softball games, etc to boost employee morale. The casual enviroment was wonderful to work in.

      Cons

      The managers are not straightforward about communicating information down the line. Something that our receivers needed to know would be communicated days after it was put in effect. Also, management is bad about keeping employees that were harassing to fellow coworkers. The benefits package is absurd and I don't know how many times I was given the run around with my paycheck or 401k.
