Pros

Always busy! Not taking appointments allows you to not need a book, and guaranteed money! Hourly pay, bonuses, and great tips. Great Clips as a company takes care of their employees, but it depends on who your franchisee is that determines your impression of the company. Luckily I work for an amazing one!

Cons

While I understand the need for scheduling for the customer, sometimes it's hard having a consistently changing schedule. Makes it hard to close one night and open the next. Although scheduling this way allows you to always be working when you're needed (ie making money).

At Great Clips I make good money, it is fast paced, fun, and modern. They have online check in, further education, excellent standards and provide feedback, so you always know if you are doing your job well. They do all the advertising that bring the customer to you. It is possible to work your way up in the company, and make a career with Great Clips

Cons

Open 7 days a week (for customer convenience) means evening and weekend availability is a must. Standing for a long time is required.

The hours are flexible, you meet new people every day, there is always an opportunity to continue your education and do what you love

Cons

Salary is not up to par. Managers play favorites, hours can get cut without warning, no set hours are allowed.
