Pros

Most people are friendly. They have alot of overtime work if wanted. Some of benefits are really good.

Cons

They don't pay long term employees enough. 20-50 cent raise each year doesn't make up cost of living increases. Bonuses shouldn't have taxes taken from them. Always wanting more hours worked. Most people work about 50hrs a week. Only 2 departments are scheduled to work M-F 8hrs min and some Saturdays the rest of the plant is scheduled to work Monday - Thursday 10hrs min and possibly Friday. So 4 day week people actually get more days off for holidays. Reviews are pointless they don't care what you do for the company but always remember your mistakes and give the better Reviews to the people that are the manager pets.

Pros

The work environment is great especially towards new employees. Great people and organization. The organization really values safety and cares for its employees. The pay is pretty good for entry level. There is great flexibility in how you manage your projects as an engineer.

Cons

No cons really, except for the location itself; Kzoo is rather dull especially if you are coming from a more urban location. If you can, live in the surrounding cities instead.

Pros

There are some nice employees who I worked alongside and spoke to.

Cons

Management/Useless Supervisors NOW MY EXPERIENCE WORKING AT FLOWSERVE. Good interview, I mensioned that I had previously worked within Oil & Gas as a (CAD) Designer, though not shown on my CV. Just to mention, I've worked on some of the largest Oil & Gas projects in the world, for example, SHELL, BP, ESSO, PETROFAC, PETRONAS and others. I was working alongside Process design engineers producing CAD DRAWINGS. THE JOB: Manager drummed up a plan to take me off assembly because they didn't want their clients seeing Black person working in the assembly area. I was moved after just 10 days in assembly. My work was fine and checked this with various employees and testers as I couldn't understand the sudden move. I even watched when some of my pumps were being tested and they were all signed off as a pass. I ended up moving to the worst area of the company (BLAST) and having to work with a useless, desperate line manager who was just itching to practice his position on me. (It didn't work) and he was also rude but I remained calm. The manager glorified this new role to me and made it look as though it was just a temporary move as I found out an employee had walked out just before I started. It wasn't a temporary move, it was a permanent move and he had a new temp taking my assembly role within days. They should have employed someone to replace the employee that walked out in that section. I was employed as an Assembler. 90% of this rubbish new role was using masking tape. I continued working there for a further 2 weeks or so but came to my senses and told myself, NO NO NO this company will no longer get my services and I left. I really enjoyed the assembly side and to see someone come in and take my role, was disturbing. (I WAS THE ONLY BLACK PERSON THERE). There were some nice employees who I worked alongside for that short stint in assembly. I could go into a more detailed review but whats the point as I don't care about the company anymore. Thank you
