Pros

This company places a high value on training and technical knowledge for employees that do technical work. Most managers are very reasonable about work/life balance. When the company does well, the AIP payouts can be very generous. 401k matching.

Cons

Poor benefits packages. The company has been struggling for the last couple years, has had to reduce the workforce, has forced employees to take vacation to increase their year end numbers, and the AIP payout for most groups has been very small or non-existent. Salaries in general seem to be much lower than similar engineering jobs.

Pros

Pay check every other week to pay the bills. The products are not challenging so your job will be easy but at the same time you will not learn anything if you are an experienced professional.

Cons

Engineering, Purchasing, Service, Production control are being outsourced to India, manufacturing to China, No employee development, Pay is average. If you have an advanced degree, work will be boring and not challenging. Can't see a reason to work there unless you don't have a job or you don't care about your career development.

Pros

Coworkers are great, and benefits are slightly above average. You get a paycheck.

Cons

This company serves an old industry and many systems are outdated. Limited support from management on how to navigate challenging situations. The entire company has a "just make it happen" culture with very little focus on improving processes. Environment was very stressful, and many employees feel defeated after one year on the job. It was impossible to mange the workload, and you end up prioritizing based on which request is most likely to result in a complaint to management. Not a good environment for someone that values a job well done.
