Pros

More often than not, many of the customers that came into the store were repeat customers so you got to know them, but there were new customers as well. Running production was a highlight of the job, but often got pushed aside until the last minute due to retail customer needs.

Cons

Management is out of touch with the reality of the job. They sit in their offices doing paperwork and are rarely willing to help with any of the production tasks. District managers need to realize that stores that aren't in a huge, wealthy area are not going to be as profitable as those stores that are. Store managers threatening to hold employees accountable for things customers are not willing to pay for need to be removed from their positions as an employee cannot force a customer to spend more than they are willing to spend just to get management's numbers to where they are "supposed" to be. Schedules that are promised are rarely upheld. Expect to work at least one weekend day, and in some cases both weekend days. Stores are understaffed and unappreciated as long as the monthly reports show any numbers in the red. Don't be fooled into thinking you are a part of a "family" as management would have you believe. You're a pawn in the success of management and will be treated as such. The equipment being used is lackluster at best. Cutters that can't cut straight lines, copiers that cannot print straight or even across the page, use of proprietary software that drastically changes the color of the printed document. The requirement to process documents through the proprietary software degrades the final product's quality more often than it makes prints look better.

Pros

Working with my co-workers and helping customers

Cons

Many locations are understaffed which results in angry customers, slower order turn around times, and angry management because of it. The employees are treated poorly and there is constant fear of being written up or fired. If management is unhappy with you one week, they will write you up for anything. For example, not selling enough product of the month which can be expensive items and involves following customers around in the store or persistently asking them if they'd like to buy it. The work place has become much like a used car dealership and by doing so is losing trust in customers. There is fear of making any mistakes on one of the many tedious steps of processing an order. Doing the actual order for the customer is easy and it's fulfilling to be able to help the customer. The difficult part is all the steps and changing aspects that they want employees to do before and after the order is done. Even down to the way the stickers are placed on boxes and bags- if they are the slightest bit tilted then you're in trouble. The work place is often busy and hectic which is made more stressful by customers upset about having to wait to be helped and management angry about any number of things. My fire to work for the company was snuffed by the way it treats it's store workers and how it sees customers as dollar symbols.

Pros

Good Medical / 401k Bennifits.

Cons

Reagulary Misstreats employees, Low pay, Heavily Cut Hours, Total lack of trust and respec of managers and below at all 8 locations that i've worked at, Very little communication with the higher ups, and mostly Very Regularly District Manager level and above threatening management and below. One example is that employees have been spending thier own money purchasing the monthly sale productions out of fear that if they don't have enough they're be fired.
