Pros

General atmosphere of the office is upbeat. Amazing health and medical benefits. Plenty of opportunities to suggest and implement new ideas and processes. Most employees that do go above and beyond the normal "work day" do so because they want to, not because they have to. Very few employee terminations on average.

Cons

Salary compensation is still behind the average. Yearly review compensation in the past have been based off Senior Management for the department, not employee review, this is supposed to change this year. Due to this being a newly acquired office, very few standards and good practices in place, too many "stop-gap" measures from small company thinking in place.

Pros

I have experienced a human work load and a very good balance between work life and personal life, your own privacy is respected and promoted. A healthy life style ig promoted. All people seem to be respected for what they are and everyone is given a fair treatment. Ericsson also offers an itnernational environment with people from a diverse background work together in multiple geographical locations. The compensation and benefits also promoted family life, part of the bonuses are connected to areas you can actually impact which creates a fair chance to make the bonus com true. Salry wise they seem to be in level with the industry.

Cons

Unfortunately Ericsson still seems stiff and non-flexible in its structures. The foundation is technology and the more modern result oriented drive and focus is missing. Ericsson has the best quality in the industry and is therefor very focused on remaining in this position, thus not always ready to take the next step in making necessary changes in supply set ups. The management style at Ericsson is very relaxed, and my experience is that it is too relaxed, to an extent it lack insight and control over what is happening. Meaning recognition and feed back is not adequate. Does not promote you to walk an extra mile.

Pros

Pay as an intern is well above other employers in the Dallas area ($16+/hr). Heavily hire out of the internship program, so a job offer is almost guaranteed. My direct managers are very invested in developing their interns, and giving them work they are interested in, while aiding their careers. They are also competent in their fields (Finance & Accounting). Overall culture is one that encourages sharing and learning.

Cons

Swedish culture. The company is structured very strangely, and it takes a few months to acclimated. For upper management, they prefer to bring in people from Sweden and other areas of the world. If you are seeking upward growth, and don't want to spend 2 years in Sweden to be indoctrinated, move on to the next company. Working in Corporate Finance is difficult because you must adhere to the Swedish close calendar, which means that you will be working through weekends and most holidays. Other areas don't have to deal with this though.
