      Insurance sales is the job...

      Pros

      Learn a lot of information but you definately have to like "personal selling" in order to really enjoy the job. If you don't like to sell car insurance, don't work here.

      Cons

      Have to wash cars all the time and deal with angry customers that were just in an accident most of the time.

      Pros

      Great way to learn logistics - get resources to different places at different times. Great team-oriented young environment, for the most part. You learn a lot when you're responsible for running an office if you have a clown for a manager.

      Cons

      Bad pay - 35k a year in the bay area is below the poverty line for a single male. 50+ hours/ week - pretty rough. The experience is entirely based on who your manager is. If you have a solid manager who runs the business smoothly, has time to devote to his/her employees to concentrate on their growth and creates a fun environment it is tolerable and you can learn quite a bit. If you have a below-par manager, the training program is brutal. 7-6:30 every day for low pay and no no freedom.

      Good for learning the basics of business

      Pros

      You will learn a ton about business, marketing, sales, logistics and management! Overall the job is fun. You get to work with people in their 20s and 30s who work the same crazy hours and for the most part like having fun. Job assessment is pretty good and management is good about being clear regarding what you need to change/improve etc. Benefits are great

      Cons

      Pay sucks. Good benefits help offset it a little but it still sucks. Can take awhile to move up so you'll be poor for awhile. Hours are really long which can make job searching interesting
