Pros

Fairly relaxed environment, lots of material amenities and good benefits - gym on site, decent cafeteria, good healthcare options and employer contributions to HSA. Honest and open upper management with an enforced open door policy, good compensation for management. Recognition and value for degrees/certifications/experience. Awesome brand recognition and a genuinely important vision which they maintain. Overall knowledgeable IT staff. Some remote work options.

Cons

Typical excess of politics, constant layoffs based on said politics. Compensation for non-management positions is completely uncompetitive. Lack of recognition for experience without degrees/certifications, and salaries move so slow with so little growth as to reduce compared to inflation. Lots of folks who are entrenched in many divisions who have been at the company for 5-10+ years and will put in significant effort to prevent corporate change/improvement. Lots of folks who have been in a position forever and intend to stay that way - some staying so long as to die on the job from old age.

Pros

Strong brand reputation and credibility in the marketplace. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in sales, compliance, testing, certification, and regulatory industries. Friendly, knowledgeable, and collaborative colleagues who are willing to help each other succeed. Good work-life balance compared to many sales organizations. Stable business with diverse industries and customers. Professional development opportunities and exposure to complex customer challenges.

Cons

Typical large-company bureaucracy can slow decision-making and execution. Internal processes and approvals may require patience and persistence. Organizational complexity can sometimes create challenges when navigating cross-functional initiatives. Career progression may occasionally depend on understanding and adapting to corporate dynamics.
