- Peak season is a drag. 72hr weeks for ~11 weeks really takes a toll, and upper management doesn't really do anything to help.
- The pay isn't all that great compared to other engineers in the Bay Area.
- Certification testing follows the procedures of the client and regulatory agencies. There isn't much room to express creative thought. Mundane work.
- Regional Manager doesn't have the interest of the employees, only of the client. Regional would go to the meeting as a yes man to the client without consulting the engineering leads.
- Ever since UL Solutions went public, it doesn't feel like a safety company. They care more about how much money they can make or save than about the safety of the consumer product.
