It's a great place to work. People there are extremely nice and understanding. - Anonymous employee UBS Employee Review

Pros

People are very nice and helpful. Even if you're in Asia and need help in Europe for example on some random subject, an email would immediately get you the help you want even if it's for some random request.

Cons

They're way too nice and let mediocrity at times happen. Maybe that's why they're losing steam these days. Also, it can also be quite political. So yes, even though in general UBS rewards based on performance, a lot of incompetent people close to management are kept on as well even if their performance is not up to par.

Pros

Good Learning opportunities, Tech savvy compared to other banking / fintech companies

Cons

Too much offshore, low cost resource strategies, Gap between functional & IT resources, CS merger favored many UBS employees and massive layoffs post UBS - CS merger. Hardly any bonus or pay increments.
