Pros

The people you work with are an amazing bunch.

Cons

The management is shocking. If you need help where are they? Oh yea! Having conversations about shat they did at the weekend and completly ignoring you. You are treated less that dirt (no im not exaggerating i loterally saw one of the managers play with a bit of fluff and ignore my hand in the air for help). You only get two weeks training and are then expected to me able to meet rediculous sales targets! Its an absloute shambles. Not only are you taking orders you ate encourraged to force people to take other items that they didnt phone up to order and then you need to force "special offers" down theor throats. Also if a customer cant find their customer number (the thing they use to access their account, you are advised to set them up as a new customer meaning all these poor old people are opening several CREDIT accounts and owing money left right and centre... most of them phone up confused about the money they owe. The abuse you get down the phone od absloutly rediculous and management are willing to do anything to keep a customer happy bu giving away promotion codes and free stuff just to keep them satisfied. No wonder the company loses money. The building its self has no heating for winter and you arent allowed jackets or scarfs on thecall floor and also it has no air conditioning for summer so it literally does become a sauna in there. Unreal worrkimg conditions. Im suprised i havent passed out a fee times in the past. And to top it all off you arent allowed to use the bathroom. Of course this is a bit of an over exaggeration but you are limited to how long you can soend in there. I was doing a 10 hour shift with only one 30 min breakand my "personal time" the thing you have to put yourself on if you need to pee or get water was at 6 mins and i was pulled up the next day! 6 mins for a 10 hour shift is nothing! Not my fault the water machine literally is at the itheremd of the building. The keyboards are disgustingly filthy no wonder im sick all the time. Oh and how could i forget the "management" that roll theor eyes at you if you need help or come over to help and suddenly become all catgerine tate like they couldnt care less. I WAS MARKED 0% ON MY CALL WUALITY. for the sheer fact that she who shall not he named. Ut looks a lot like the baby of shrek and the honey monster has a lersonal bandeta against me. For no reason at all. Just doesnt like me i guess. The canteen staff are my fave people in that building they brighten my day with their banter and genuine smiles. Although the amount of flies down theor could be dealt with as im not a fan of batting away flies while i try to eat.

Pros

For the most part, I have an open availability. I do however, like not having to work on Sundays. Some campains allow for a 1 hour lunch break. The hiring process was fairly easy. Your equipment is provided. There is opportunity for advancement. They are helpful when it comes to license renewal. Calls are back to back which for me seems to make time go faster. Flexibly as to when you want to take your lunch break. You have to opportunity to assist people without having to feel it was rushed. Off all major holidays.

Cons

Rushed training that may leave some questions unanswered. I feel like I had to figure things out on my own. Getting the assistance you need to help a client took longer than it should, especially when the client is on on hold, waiting for your response. At times some trainers seem to be unprepared for the roll they have taken. Calls are frequently monitored. Not much time between calls. It can take too long to transition from on campain to the next after the project has ended.
