Pros
Promotions happen fast and you can get a better title that would take years to get in other US companies. Healthy clothing allotment
Cons
Poor salary on the bottom of the bell curve for position. Extremely high turnover in stores, middle management, and HQ. Non-existent work/life balance. As a multi store manager you are given a work cell and expected to be available at all times, send emails at 7/8p nightly and work minimum 50% of weekends. When HQ visits you are expected to work morning to night and eat every meal together, everyone is exhausted and the Italians and Expats will make fun and critique every restaurant you go to. Expats + Italians are favored for positions. US employee ideas and feedback to streamline better into the US culture are not incorporated or accepted; and I’ve personally been told to not share my ideas as they go “against the company culture, and we don’t want people with those ideas working here.” HR can’t influence most parts of the company because they report directly to the people who need to enact those changes, and those people are from Italy. WhatsApp novel texts will be sent out to the US group chat publicly shaming and criticizing DMs and RMs. Leading with emotion and gas lighting seems to be the preferred style.
