      Pros

      Job stability. Sometimes it can be very rewarding. Work with a huge number of people. Variability of working life and patients encountered.

      Cons

      Stressful and demanding both in and out of work. Long hours (that are often not compensated). Often feel undervalued. Highly competitive for advancement in specialty (depending on the specialty).
