Pros
It's got to be better than selling drugs on a street corner
Cons
No communication (I tried for three weeks to find just who my supervisor was to turn in my 2 weeks notice and noone knew, referred me to people who didn't know, or the contacts that I had had the entire time would never respond back on the subject.) In the end I had to turn in my letter of resignation to a office manager as she was my only reliable contact. Also, they never inform you when things change. Six months into my contract I was supposed to be using a different payroll system and it was two weeks before the system itself notified me through email that I had nothing on my time card. I emailed the only HR contact I had and they explained what had happened. Things like this constantly happened. In other words, your just a number to them if your a contractor and a means for them to make money. They don't care about you in any other way. When I was hired I was lied to and told that multiple people had been hired permanently to my customer after fulfillment of their contract. In actuality no one has and my supervisor told me the first day that they had no room for a permanent employee. They also will tell you that they have benefits. They have dental and eye benefits that are BAD and they will deceptively tell you that they have Health benefits. They only have SUPPLEMENTAL Health Insurance. I would have had no insurance if not for the Affordable Care Act through the government.
