Pros
International company, therefore greater access to market knowledge, funding for new projects, overall brand awareness. We have an open door policy with senior management here in SA, and our MD is a very fair person.
Cons
no acknowledgement for overtime worked, or appreciation for meeting targets. In South Africa, no structure for career advancement or training. A recruiter / consultant is clearly at the bottom of the food chain, and you feel it. We don't see head office staff very often as we are a small branch in another region. Manpower has the tendency to start new projects with vigour, but fails to keep the momentum or motivation going.
