Supportive Environment if you are a Carer - Senior People Partner Leonardo Employee Review

I work full time in a demanding role and outside of work, I care for two loved ones - an elderly parent and an unwell partner. Life can be very demanding at times, however the people culture and Ways of Working model at Leonardo enables me to continue in employment. I am trusted to deliver my work and flex my time when I need it to attend appointments or meet with support services . There is a supportive and open culture here where my People Leaders, my team and my customers of Engineers are understanding and emphathetic. It hasn't hampered my career too - of course it means I have to be organised and disciplined at work, and when leading on big projects, I need to have a plan B as a backup but I still enjoy an interesting, varied and challenging job. Knowing that when there are tough times I can speak openly, not hide what is going on in my life and have the knowledge that I have support to call on is very heartening and takes one worry away from me.
