Pros
Cutting edge of innovation in its technological areas. Possibility to work far beyond the boundaries of role competences, learning a lot more with respect to similar better-structured companies. Huge networking capabilities. Full-time contracts with granted stability and punctuality of the salary. Benefits like canteen, medical insurance and third part promotional offers for employees. Continuous training for employees.
Cons
Salaries are way too low with respect to cost of living in the area, though they are in line with italian average. You can't afford a house or paying college for kids. Absence of communication with HR department and long-term career planning leads to practical impossibility to pursue a meritocratic growth of salary and responsibilities. Very often, high responsibilities are assigned to people unsuited for the role with absolutely no proportional growth in salary (often no growth at all is granted). Very limited openness to internal innovation or continuous improvement mindset.
