Promotion to higher grades to reflect increased responsibility taken on, HR make this difficult if not impossible. Its apparently better to allow experienced effective members of a section move to another job & be replaced by inexperienced and cheaper! Absentee Italian managers, difficult to contact & get responses. If a UK manager retires or leaves, it often seams like an Italian based manager takes his/her place. The pressure of work is increasing as staff retire & are either not replaced or replaced with trainee's.. Pay levels do not compare well with other aerospace companies. Old technology still being employed, Catia V4 still used, V5 slowly being intoduced!!!
