Pros

Free pair of glasses every year with the company and associate sales around four times a year.

Cons

-Inconsistencies -Commission is a thing of the past -Associates aren't paid enough hourly for what they are expected to do and know/learn -Expect associates to pick up supervisor like tasks without compensating them for the extra work and responsibility (Keyholder? Making $10/hour. Literally everywhere else a keyholder position will pay you more whether starting out or as a raise) -Changes in policy happen very often -No real room to grow or move up (could take years) -They're more likely to hire from outside than promote from within -Turnover rate is high -Focused on numbers, not people (customers and associates alike) -Elevate "new" technology at LensCrafters that's been the standard at private opticals for a while now (our stuff is so seriously outdated on every end, doctor and lab especially, you can tell it's 20+ years old) -Keep raising prices even though product hasn't changes and literally costs $5 to manufacture -Price higher than competitors for the exact same products from the exact same manufacturers -No prior optical experience needed (I'm not joking. This could even be your first job ever. No experience needed whatsoever.) -Expect to figure it out as you go -More staff not knowing what they're doing than those who do (result of aforementioned turnover rates)
