Pros

The technical work is interesting and there are genuinely talented people on the team. The onboarding process is smooth and the company presents itself well.

Cons

The reality of day-to-day working life does not match the company's reputation. Concerns raised repeatedly and formally went unaddressed for months. When leadership did respond, it was made explicitly clear that changes could be made but wouldn't be. Compensation and title offered did not reflect the role as advertised, and when questioned, this was presented as non-negotiable with no room for discussion. Talented people are undervalued and under-titled. The environment, despite its public image, is not psychologically safe. The "unlimited holiday" policy is also misleading in practice. In reality, it defaults to statutory minimum, with no clarity from HR or management on how much time you've taken, how much you have left, or when it needs to be used by. There is no carry-over of unused days, and no one proactively flags this to you. It's left entirely to the employee to figure out, with no real HR function to ask. If you decide to leave the company, any accrued but untaken holiday is not meaningfully compensated. This lack of basic support and transparency around something as fundamental as time off is symptomatic of a wider absence of HR infrastructure and managerial care.
