Pros

No pros unless you are an actuary on the life side. Though working with Kailash and Heena will always be a pleasure

Cons

Horrible increments: barely any increment in salary over 2+ years Poor leave structure: you get 10 hours credited every month end to use. They say they encourage you to take leaves if needed but you don't really get to under the new structure No work life balance: they make you work over time and on the weekends and say they will compensate you but they don't No promotions: promotions are dependent on your utilisation percentage but more often than not the project is not profitable and you don't get all the hours you worked. Which leads to low utilisation Toxic work environment: obvious favouritism among the senior management

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
