Pros
Clients are great to work with. Even when having a difficult client (which isn’t too often) management goes a good job at navigating the situation. Great educational opportunities, whether it’s mentoring or formal classes. Great flexibility with schedule (meet your obligations and be on time for meetings, no one hassling you if you’re not on the clock between certain times). Plenty of PTO.
Cons
When making requests to move on to more challenging projects seems like they go a bit unheard by upper management. Medical benefits are super expensive for family coverage. Would like more coworker face time on a regular basis (remote work can be isolating but there are a good number of employees in my town to connect with) Pay has been low compared to national average and how much responsibilities and client facing time is expected.
