The owner is crazy, at minimum. During COVID times he told me that he would not keep my position (last week of may to June 5th) unpaid, when I asked because my daughter was out of school and her dad was deployed. When I was offered another position I asked the owner if I had a job still at great clips and he stated “I’ve taken this as your voluntary resignation. you must think I’m stupid, I’ll be contacting UI tomorrow”. He filed an appeal against the unemployment claim and lost, without me even going to the court dates. Also, I’m 25 with carpal tunnel and tendinitis after working there for 3 years. Doing 25-30 haircuts in a 8 hour shift just to make 50$-100$ in tips isn’t worth it.
