Pros

Not a lot. It was near some nice sandwich shops.

Cons

I was a trainer with this company a few years back. Some of the practices they employed were, in my opinion, not very ethical. Having looked at some of the reviews here, it seems that not much has changed. They used to tell prospective trainees they were "guaranteed" a job at the end of training. They even had it in some of their marketing literature. This was plain false. It's impossible to guarantee a job - as many found to their dismay at the end of their training. The trainees were treated quite harshly and many were in a constant state of anxiety. Any trainee could be thrown out on the slightest excuse (Eg arriving a few minutes late). In fact, some of the Academy managers seemed to enjoy doing this. The contract the trainees signed seemed very unfair. The training received was valued at £20,000 but this figure was plucked out of the air. There's no way it was worth this much. They were told they would have to pay this extortionate sum back if they left before their two years. Having worked hard and passed lots of exams, many of the trainees were sent off to very low grade jobs. Not surprisingly, there were loads of complaints about this. Think very carefully before you join this company. After months of unpaid study, you could end up with nothing to show for it and a load more debt. ... and I'm really glad I left.
