Pros

Only good during intern or fresh graduate to lean how to work hard but dont stay longer .

Cons

The leadership at Capgemini is the worst I've ever encountered. They engage in dirty politics, particularly targeting hard-working employees. I strongly advise against coming to the US through Capgemini if you are on a work visa. The HR and Managed Services teams also engage in dirty politics. The company has a habit of forcing employees on visas to either return to their home country or resign, even when there are available projects within Capgemini US with other business units (BUs). I have seen cases where if you are not in good books on one of the leaders, out of spite, change a number 1 performance rating to a 3 or 4 if they don't like you, even though your manager has given you a number 1 rating. They refuse to transfer employees to other BUs, deliberately frustrating hard-working employees with good performance. Now, many of my friends are facing the same problems I experienced. For some, resigning is not an option due to visa complications, and HR takes advantage of this by making their work life even more difficult. Unfortunately, I was one of their victims and was forced to resign instead of being allowed to transfer to another project they forced me to go back.I am grateful to no longer work for this company, I regret wasting many years of my career there but i see the same things happening again and again even after so many years . Capgemini has a bureaucratic nature that offers little room for growth or for employees to stay, regardless of how many years they have dedicated to the company. Leadership is often hired from outside rather than grown from within, and there is minimal effort to retain good talent.

Cons

I was laid off after spending several months on the bench, with "lack of available projects" cited as the reason. However, another consultant in the same role who was also without an active client engagement was retained. As a woman and racial minority, I could not ignore the disparity in how these decisions appeared to be made. Before my termination, I reported being recorded without my consent and raised concerns about conduct that I believed reflected implicit bias. I was referred to as "URM" instead of by my name or role, encouraged toward race based employee resource groups rather than meaningful career opportunities, and repeatedly advocated for fair project placement while on the bench. My employment ended shortly after I raised these concerns. Following my termination, I pursued the matter through the appropriate internal and legal channels. I provided documentation supporting my concerns and gave the company multiple opportunities to investigate and resolve the issues. Rather than meaningfully addressing the evidence or acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations, the company denied wrongdoing, offered what I viewed as a nominal severance, and declined to accept accountability. Employees deserve confidence that concerns about discrimination and retaliation will be investigated objectively and fairly. My experience left me with the opposite impression.
