Pros

- A good place to start off your career if you've just graduated. - Basic benefits like pension, healthcare, and holiday leave. - Provides you with some work experience for your CV.

Cons

This organisation serves as a prime example of what not to do in business. It mainly acts as a temporary solution for those in need, offering just enough experience to encourage people to move on. The leadership demonstrates a consistent unwillingness to accept responsibility. Senior management opts to deflect blame for evident failures onto their staff. They instigate disorder by making decisions rooted in unrealistic expectations, subsequently expecting their employees to achieve the impossible to satisfy those demands. When outcomes do not align with their plans, they seek scapegoats rather than examining their own errors. The management of the organisation puts way too much focus on formal qualifications and job titles, ignoring real skills. This leads to a tricky situation where practical know-how is undervalued in favour of certificates and rank. As a result, skilled people with solid experience often miss out on promotions, which affects both their motivation and the organisation's performance. There aren't clear routes for professional growth, and it stifles creative thinking, creating a culture where accountability is avoided rather than tackled head-on. The organisation's management structure has quite a few operational inefficiencies and issues. These systemic problems create an environment that can seriously affect employee development and engagement. While a short stint might be okay, staying longer could have major career consequences, such as fewer chances for advancement and a possible decline in professional motivation, especially when individual contributions aren't properly recognised or appreciated.

Cons

I was laid off after spending several months on the bench, with "lack of available projects" cited as the reason. However, another consultant in the same role who was also without an active client engagement was retained. As a woman and racial minority, I could not ignore the disparity in how these decisions appeared to be made. Before my termination, I reported being recorded without my consent and raised concerns about conduct that I believed reflected implicit bias. I was referred to as "URM" instead of by my name or role, encouraged toward race based employee resource groups rather than meaningful career opportunities, and repeatedly advocated for fair project placement while on the bench. My employment ended shortly after I raised these concerns. Following my termination, I pursued the matter through the appropriate internal and legal channels. I provided documentation supporting my concerns and gave the company multiple opportunities to investigate and resolve the issues. Rather than meaningfully addressing the evidence or acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations, the company denied wrongdoing, offered what I viewed as a nominal severance, and declined to accept accountability. Employees deserve confidence that concerns about discrimination and retaliation will be investigated objectively and fairly. My experience left me with the opposite impression.
