Pros
Each gym is individually owned and operated, that being said, I worked with some of the best owners in the business; they truly are what made me have such a wonderful experience. The gym was immaculate and I had every possible tool available to make my clients successful. The gym members were wonderful, and the atmosphere coming to work every day was uplifting.
Cons
With each gym being individually owned the owners have the ability to run their establishment as they see fit following the guidelines of the franchise. The biggest downside for me was the amount of time I spent at work in comparison to the pay I received. If it was not for supplemental income from another job I would not have been able to have made a living wage. I was required to perform a number of duties such as fitness consultations, and member relation phone calls where I was not compensated or minimally compensated for my efforts. I was also not compensated when members did not show up for their fitness consultation or personal training appointments.
