Pros

Absolutely and utterly none at all.

Cons

This company does not care about it employees at all, they are treated with no respect and got rid of whenever it suits the company for little or no justifiable reason – a very hire and fire culture. They will always believe what their client says above and beyond their employees, and use this to get rid of their employees when it suits them, especially when the clients budget is cut. Passing their 3 monthly reviews is a farce, as they are very limited and this does not go against your overall performance. Do not raise any issues that they are having with the client, as they will use this against you when it suits to get rid of you. Their processes are a joke, and reviews with senior management are very unprofessional and you are treated with contempt. They are late, arrogant and will not review and take a considered approach to all the items on the agenda. Making very unjustified decisions on a very small limited area of the issue. They do not consider your overall performance and if I had worked their longer, I would have taken them to an industrial tribunal, but as they work very underhandly I cannot. HR attend reviews but stay silent – worried about their own job security. In summary a very poorly ran company who use you to maximise their profits, whilst feeding you lies about what a great career you can have with them. I should have known better as what I heard from other people working for them was and is true and very shocking.

Thank you for your review. We value all feedback we receive in order to continuously improve our employee experience and our processes. It is important though, to keep a level of measure and seriousness in the feedback provided. At Alten, we make employee and customer satisfaction our top priories. The very nature of our business, which consists in providing engineering services to a variety of clients, means our employees are our most valuable asset. This is a strong belief that is shared across all the company’s Leadership. To be factual, we actually measure the satisfaction of both our employees and clients, on a monthly and quarterly basis respectively, and take corrective actions when we identify some issues. The way we assess our employee performance is based on multiple feedback and several channels (clients, our Technical Direction and the Career Managers) to ensure accuracy. While you seem to think our “processes are a joke”, all our processes are going through external audits every year, and we successfully passed several very demanding certification audits over the last few months (ISO 9001, EN 9100, and Cyber Essentials Plus for example). There is no such thing as a “hire and fire” culture here. If that were the case, we would be offering fixed-term contracts instead of permanent ones. Having to dismiss someone is not something we enjoy doing, we obviously only do it if we have serious grounds for it, and above all, we only do so if this is the only option we have left. When it comes to formal hearings, please do not take the assumption that “HR stay silent” because they are “worried about their own job security”. This is simply a legal requirement that they should be there to take minutes. I am sorry to hear you feel you were treated with contempt by senior management or that some decisions were unjustified. It may be a communication related issue, and as a piece of advice for the future, I would recommend to address this at its ignition with your management, and escalate to HR if necessary, in order to launch an investigation and tackle the potential issue the right way. Thank you again for sharing your feedback, and please rest assured that we take it into account to continuously improve our processes and our employee experience.

Pros

I have been with the company for several years and have had a very positive experience overall. The company offers strong opportunities for career growth, especially for employees who are proactive, take ownership, and consistently deliver results. Internal mobility and leadership opportunities are available for those looking to advance their careers. Compensation is competitive within the industry, and performance is generally recognized and rewarded. While there is always room for improvement, I feel that the company provides fair compensation and good opportunities to increase earnings through career progression. Management is supportive and accessible. As with any growing organization, I have found leadership to be committed to employee development and business success. There is a strong entrepreneurial culture that encourages initiative and accountability. One of the biggest strengths of the company is the variety of projects and clients. Employees have the opportunity to work across different industries, technologies, and business environments, which helps accelerate professional development and keeps the work interesting. Pros: * Strong career development opportunities * Diverse and challenging projects * Supportive and entrepreneurial culture * Exposure to a wide range of industries and clients Overall, I would recommend this company to professionals looking for growth, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Cons

Pros

• Talented employees who genuinely care about customers, consultants, and each other. • Strong technical expertise and exposure to large, complex client programs. • Opportunity to learn resilience, problem-solving, and how to operate in challenging environments. • Significant growth potential if organizational barriers can be addressed. • Many good people working hard to achieve success despite limited resources.

Cons

• Decision-making is often highly centralized and slow, limiting agility and responsiveness to market realities. • Leaders are frequently held accountable for ambitious growth objectives without corresponding authority, resources, or support. • Heavy emphasis on activity tracking, reporting, and process can outweigh focus on outcomes and execution. • Limited willingness to challenge long-standing practices, even when market conditions or employee feedback suggest change is needed. • Leadership diversity and diversity of thought remain opportunities for improvement. • Employee concerns are not always translated into meaningful action, which can contribute to disengagement and turnover.
