Pros

Great opportunities, job constantly changing and easy to get more responsibility if you have a good performance history and are eager to take on more. The organisation is happy to move people around according to business need and personal priorities. Not a great inter-company mobility process but if you have a good network and can navigate the organisation then international and cross-divisional movesa are pretty easy

Cons

The hours and mediocre compensation (I've been there a while so have lagged compared to the market)

Pros

good exposure to diff businesses that the bank is involved with: research, banking, etc. worldwide exposure and good opportunity to move to a difference location if desired. co offers various programs if you wnat to continue pursuing further education such as MBA or other prof deisgnations, CFA, etc. overall good experience but a very tough environment currently.

Cons

no definable career path. you have to figure it out on your own. no one is going to show you the ropes, you will be on your own. currently very challenging environment for financial services in general might rethink career path and choose diff industry instead.
